How to Use Them

Applicant must meet the following eligibility criteria to approve his SASSA application.

One must :

1. Be a citizen, permanent resident, or refugee of South Africa.
2. Residing in South Africa
3. The applicant and his spouse must comply with the means test of the official SASSA website.
4. Submit the correct identity verification documents, including a 13-digit ID card bar code, to qualify.
5. He should not have applied for any other Social Relief Grant for himself before applying to SRD.
6. A person applying for an Older person grant should not be less than 60 years of age, according to https://srd.sassa.gov.za/, the official website

If your card payment is approved but still not received, cross-check the following important requirements to view what is missing.

1. Check your preferred payment method is entered and banking details are correct.
2. If your banking details are incorrect, crawl on the changing bank details link to enter the correct information.
3. Check if the provided phone number is correct. If it needs to be changed, click the change SASSA phone number link.

If everything is up-to-date, then be patient and wait. It might be some Postbank technical issue, bank or national holiday as a cause of delay for payment grant.

If you have applied for the first time as a beneficiary, better to visit or contact SASSA immediately to know if the status is still active or deactivated.
