SASSA Payment Methods – Everything A Beneficiary Should Know

The National Agency has launched diversified SASSA payment methods to facilitate their beneficiaries. SRD R350 recipients will choose the right payment method according to their needs and accessibility.

We aim to provide you with a better understanding of how you can get your SASSA payments through easy and efficient methods.

SASSA Payment Methods

SASSA has provided multiple SASSA payment methods for its beneficiaries to ensure you receive a seamless transfer of the SASSA payment relief grant program. There are diverse ways to receive your government grant of Social Relief of Distress SRD R350 payments.

Let’s choose any of the following according to your feasibility.

SASSA Payment through Bank Transfer

If you have your bank account and are comfortable with online transfer of funds, then you may opt for SASSA payment through online bank transfer.

All you have to do is to log in to srd.sassa.gov.za.

Enter your 13-digit ID number and mobile number.

Enter the comment details of your bank account and select it as the preferred payment method for the SASSA SRD R350 Grant or any type of Grant.

SASSA payment Methods: Post Office (SAPO/Post Banks)

You may go for SASSA payment through the Post office option. You will collect your SASSA grant in form of cash on-site. You have to provide your identity verification physically at the spot in Post Banks in the form of your ID- card number and your SASSA Application ID.

You may collect your SASSA grant from any branch of the Post Office near you. Post office branches are widespread in the country, so it would be easy to prefer this method as preferred one for those who need help tackling online stuff.

SASSA payment Methods- Moya App (Bank mobile money transfer)

Moya App is the digital wallet that is authorized by SASSA for online transfer of Grants. If you prefer an online transaction directly from your SASSA account to your Mobile phone, select Moya App as your chosen payment method for SASSA Grants. 

SASSA ATM Card

If you have your SASSA ATM Card, you can have your SASSA Grant amount transferred directly from your SASSA account to any one of the authorized Retailer stores of the Government. You may also transfer your amount directly from your SASSA Card to Capitec if you have an active Capitec account in your name as a beneficiary.

Boxers

You may transfer your grant amount directly from the SASSA Card to Boxers near your residency. Just visit the nearest local Boxer retailer store and ask if SASSA Grants have arrived in beneficiaries’ accounts online. On the announced payment date, you can receive your SRD R350 Grant relief, Child Support, Care dependency or any grant.

USave

USave is another local retailer that has the permission by the South African Government to offer grant payments to the recipients as soon as received by SASSA national agency. You can head to it for your SASSA Cash collection.

Important Notice

SASSA has just released a Facial Recognition Software to add an extra layer in identity verification authorization. You should know the important details about the feature otherwise you might not able to login to your SASSA account

ShopRite

ShopRite is distributed nationwide and you can receive your SASSA amount directly if you have transferred your grant from your SASSA Card to ShopRite retailers National number to receive it in the form of cash.

Pick N pay 

Pick N pay simplifies the payment process for beneficiaries as it is also available nationwide. You can check your nearest Pick N Pay to see if it offers an SASSA Grant transfer.

SASSA Cash Send 

You can opt- for the Cash Send option to collect your Cash payout. If you need a bank account and opting for SASSA Card is also difficult, then SASSA Cash Send is the better option.

Use the money transfer service to collect your SASSA Cash Send at your designated collection point.
